Here is a fabulous, very heavy decanter designed by the renowned Frank Thrower for Dartington glass in 1968. It is design FT44 and has a typical sixties simplistic shape with a long stopper which stands nicely upright to avoid rolling off the table. It has a polished out pontil mark on the heavy base. This design was so popular that it carried on into the 1980s.
