Here is a beautiful vintage small decorative vase from the Watcombe Torquay pottery. It has been hand turned and hand-painted in an all round design of panels outlined in blue with alternate stylised leaves in green and crimson on a cream ground and yellow background.The other panels are sienna diagonal stripes on a cream ground. The interior is also cream with a green colour to the neck continuing to the outside and also to the bottom of the pot. It is made from red terra-cotta clay as seen on the base. It has a black rubber stamp on the base 'WATCOMBE TORQUAY ENGLAND' (This stamp was used from the late 1920's to 1945)
