Dating to the 1950s is this large plate by Carlton Ware in their langouste / lobster range. It was made for devilled eggs as it has twelve egg shaped sections around the edge aswell as two larger depressions at either side for dressings.It is all hand painted in yellowy green to the outside and a lobster on a cream background to the centre. This is a rare piece. Good to use and absolutely great on display. Marked to the underside Carlton Ware Handpainted MADE IN ENGLAND TRADE MARK REGISTERED AUSTRALIAN DESIGN.
