Dating to the 1940s or thereabouts is this one pint traditional teapot manufactured by Alcock, Lindley and Bloore. This pottery was famous for Brown Betty teapots and eventually merged with Royal Doulton. It is made from red terracotta clay and covered with a rich brown glaze and has three pale yellowish cream stripes around the top. This type of clay which retained the heat and the bulbous shape which gave room for tea leaves to swirl and be infused made the best cup of tea. Marked to the base with large A and L and B inside the A, MADE IN ENGLAND
