VINTAGE SILK ' FAIRY-TALE' SCARF

Dating from the 1930's, or thereabouts, is this large fine silk scarf depicting a fairy-tale with character scenes in each corner linked by pathways and archways, lined with shrubs flowers and trees of many different kinds. We cannot work out who the sad tale of love is about or who is responsible for the artwork but it appears to have been handpainted. This is a lovely old scarf in great condition, very wearable but also a must have for any collector of scarves.
